How to Order

1) Choose a restaurant and select your items

2) Either Order On-line, or Call AlaCarte Express at
202-232-8646 to place your order with one of our friendly customer service representatives

3) Your order will be forwarded to the restaurant

4) Your driver will be dispatched to the restaurant and will deliver it to your door

Sales Tax

AlaCarte Express is required to tax both the Food Total of your order, and the Delivery Charge for that order, at different rates. In Washington DC, the Food Total is taxed at 10% (the tax rate for prepared foods) and the Delivery Chrage is taxed at 5.75% (the rate for deliveries within the District of Columbia.)

An example: An order with a $50 Food Total and a $5 Delivery Charge would cost:

Food Total = $50.00
Delivery Charge = $5.00
10% Tax on Food = $5.00
5.75% Tax on Delivery = $.28
--------
Total (Not Including Driver's Gratuity) = $60.28
